Over the Christmas period I had the opportunity to re-read some of the Computers in Business sections of the Sunday Business Post going back to early December. Imagine my surprise when I spotted an article that specifically mentioned the importance of Information/Data Quality.

Unfortunately, the article doesn't make reference to the fact that IQ is a Business issue rather than an IT problem, and the context that the quote from the IDC is presented in gives the impression that this is an IT challenge that Business people need not worry about.

However, I'll be following up on this to see if there is an opportunity for the IAIDQ/IQ Network to fill in the gaps, like we've been doing in the Small Firms Association Magazine over the last few months. It is heartening though that the issues of Information/Data Quality are now starting to get an airing in the mainstream media.
