The IQ Network is a collaborative venture between the Irish Computer Society (www.ics.ie) and the International Association for Information and Data Quality (www.iaidq.org) and the School of Computing in DCU (www.dcu.ie) It was founded in February 2005 and operates both as a Special Interest Network within the Irish Computer Society and as a geographic 'Community of Practice' of the IAIDQ. In the short time since its foundation, the IQ Network has established itself as the leading organisation for Information Quality practitioners and researchers in Ireland. The organisation runs numerous events during the course of the year, with three main events (Spring IQ Forum, Autumn IQ Forum and, when possible, a slot at the ICT Expo conference) as well as many evening seminars. The IQ Network's experience has been adopted as a model for Geographic CoP formations within the IAIDQ given the abiltity of the team to rapidly deliver valuable content to members and prospective members as a result of the strategic relationships with the Irish Computer Society and Dublin City University. Membership of the IQ Network is open to all ICS members and IAIDQ members resident on the island of Ireland. If you are a member of just one of the organisations, you are classed as an Associate member. Full membership requires that you be a member of both organisations. You can join the IAIDQ here. You can join the ICS here. The IQ Network team, the ICS and the IAIDQ are continually looking at options to improve and strengthen the relationship for the mutual benefit of both organisations and their members.
